Revelation 7 Quick Overview

Chapter 7 of Revelation is looking at the bigger picture of the 4th -5th seals of Revelation 6.

Remember that the 4th Seal is the final one of the (Acts 3:19/ Zechariah 6:1-5/Ezekiel 37:9,10) 4 Winds of Heaven or Times of Refreshing from Presence of the Lord = 1st Four Seals =Chariot/Horse Combination with purpose to revive an Army for God)

Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels (EGW commentary Revelation 5:11) standing on the four corners of the earth (1/4th part, quarter or corner= Revelation 6:8, Jeremiah 49:36; Revelation 20:8; Ezekiel 7:1), holding (restraining) the four winds of the earth (NOT winds of heaven but winds or powers of the earth/them of Revelation 6:8 = EGW commentary Revelation 5:11 and 7:1-3; Revelation 13:2 beast, leopard, bear, lion; EGW commentary Daniel 7:2-7; Dan.7:12,17 lives prolonged; Rev. 9:14,15) that the wind should not blow on the earth (not of heaven), nor on the sea (peoples, nations Revelation 17:15), nor on any tree .

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, (Sun of Righteousness Malachi 4:2/Revelation 18:1/John 12:46) having the seal of the living God (Luke 20:24,25; 2 Timothy 2:19, Deut. 6:7,9, Revelation 14:1) and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt (using destructive agencies of Satan also called 4 sore judgments of God/Revelation 6:8;Ezekiel 14:21; EGW commentary Daniel 7:10; EGW commentary Revelation 7:1-3) the earth and the sea,

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God (Daniel 3:16,17,28; Daniel 6:20; Rev.22:3)/Rev. 7:15 continually) in their foreheads. (Revelation 14:1-5; 9:4; 22:4)

And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there weresealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (A true Jew Romans 2:29) (Revelation 21:12 a pearl gate or entrance into the city; Revelation 2:12-17 (White stone reward) Those who refuse the wiles of Satan in his establishment of a false church – no idolatry, fornication, doctrine of Nicolaitans and follow Christ as Martyrs/Matt 13:46)

Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad weresealed twelve thousand.

Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar weresealed twelve thousand.

Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin weresealed twelve thousand. (Note: tribes of Dan and Ephraim not mentioned due to reputation of historically leading children of Israel into idolatry, fornication – I Kings 12:29; Hosea 4:17)

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, (Seas: Revelation 17:15) stood before the throne, and before the Lamb (Revelation 6:17/Revelation 14:1), clothed with white robes (Revelation 19:7 & 8), and palms (emblems of triumph or victory to the Son of God John 12:13,19) in their hands;

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Matthew 24:21-24; Revelation 6:9-11)

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night (serve continually – Daniel 6:20) in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them (Revelation 21:3,22,23; 22:3.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them (Revelation 5:6; 6:6; John 6:27,32-37,50-58,63,68), and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters (Revelation 22:1; John 4:10-14; John 7:37-39): and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.(Revelation 21:3)
