DANIEL 8:26B EVENING AND MORNING THE SEAL OF GOD

Updated: Dec 26, 2022

CHAPTER 26 B

In the following Part II discussion on the Evening and the Morning of Daniel 8 verse 26, we will look at what Christ had to say about the Evening & the Morning and see how it relates to the Seal of God and the Mark of the Beast at the end of time.

Daniel 8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be……

26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Daniel-Chapter-8/

Since our discussion on Daniel 8:19, we have been studying a third application of the prophecies of Daniel 8 regarding the time of the end or the last end of the indignation. Does the “Evening and the Morning” also have an application at the time of the end?

Please be sure you have read Chapter 26 A or part I on the Evening and the Morning. When we understand the Evening and the Morning to represent to the Continual, Daily, Provision of God to us both as Creator and Redeemer then we can understand how it applies to the end of time.

THE EVENING AND THE MORNING AS CHRIST EXPLAINED IT

One day, the Pharisees and Saducees came to Jesus asking for a “sign from heaven”. We know from John 6 that they were asking for “manna from heaven” as in the days of Moses (Exodus 16). The sad thing is that Christ had just finished feeding the four thousand, and not too long before that the five thousand (Matthew 16:9,10; John 6:1-14) as if those were not enough of a sign.

Matthew 16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Matthew-Chapter-16/

John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

Here Jesus tells them the He is the Manna. He is their Sign from heaven. And next He tells them He is their Daily, Continual, Evermore, Everlasting Provision!

John 6:34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48 I am that bread of life.

49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

This same question recounted by Matthew at the same time has a different but similar answer in challenge from the Pharisees and Saducees. It is answered with a discussion on the evening and the morning.

Matthew 16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Matthew-Chapter-16/

Jesus was saying you see the evening and the morning of the sky and know the weather. But the time of the Evening and the Morning of Daniel 8 is right in front of you and because of your hypocrisy you cannot discern the Sign of the times of Daniel 8 is being fulfilled. He was the appearance of the Mighty Man of Daniel 8:15,16 & 26, the “mareh” or vision.

Sadly, we know from John 6:66 that after understanding that Jesus was talking about His spiritual provision of redemption and not literal bread, many chose not to follow Him anymore.

In the end of time, it will be the same way. Some will understand but leave Jesus. They will be hoping for temporal bread or afraid not to get temporal bread or afraid to lose their lives (Revelation 13:15-17).

John 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw (understood) the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

Jesus here refers to the seal of God. We must have that seal in the last day to be saved. We must eat the flesh of the Son of man (True Manna from Heaven) and drink His blood to have the everlasting Provision.

John 6:53 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

When Jesus talks about His flesh and blood He is also speaking about the Passover and New Covenant promise. The night He was betrayed he celebrated the Passover in the upper room with His disciples and He said the following:

Matthew 26:18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover....

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

THE EVENING AND THE MORNING CONNECTION TO PASSOVER

& THE SEAL OF GOD

This Passover was a time to remember the first Passover of the Exodus from Egypt.

Exodus 12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Exodus-Chapter-12/

This blood was a seal on their doorposts. It represented their trust in the Provision of the blood and body of the Lamb of God (symbol of Christ) to sanctify and deliver them. Jesus at the time of this last Passover when He died, told us to remember His death and resurrection by continued celebration of this symbol only now we need not slay a lamb as He has fulfilled that being the Lamb of God slain. It has not changed. This seal of God must be on the doorposts of our hearts and minds in the time of the end. It represents our trust in the Provision of the Lamb of God and His Word or promise to save us.

We know from John 6 that the story of the manna represents Christ as our Living Bread. His Words are spirit and life. We must trust His Word more than temporal food!

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Matthew-Chapter-4/

The act of faith or trust in the provision of Christ in His Word and Blood is the New Covenant Promise or Seal of God written on our hearts and minds and is shown in our act of worship.

Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Hebrews-Chapter-10/

We are the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16). Did you notice verse 22 above. This is the third application of the cleansing of the sanctuary. By writing His Word on our hearts and minds and by our belief in the righteous blood of the Son of God as our substitute and surety, God is working on cleansing or sanctifying our soul temples. He wants us to be white as snow! We are to wear the robe of HIS righteousness!

This was shown every Sabbath during the Israelite sojourn in the wilderness by the story of the manna. You will see similar language concerning the story of the manna and the story of the Passover . I challenge you to read and study Exodus 16; Exodus 12 & 13; Matthew 26; John 6; & Hebrews 4. Look for comparative language.

Exodus 16:22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.

23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.

26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

30 So the people rested on the seventh day. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Exodus-Chapter-16/

And in the same way the Israelites showed their trust in God’s Word to continually provide for them by obedience and resting on His Holy Sabbath from gathering the manna, we too will be tested in the end of time. The seventh-day Sabbath is a sign of our trust in God and His Word. We are not to rely on man or our own works for our sanctification or redemption.

Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Exodus-Chapter-31/

Ezekiel 20:11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Ezekiel-Chapter-20/#35

Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Hebrews-Chapter-4/

In the end of time, the Devil will hate those who keep the commandments of God (trust God’s Word) and who have the faith of Jesus Christ (Trust God’s provision in His Son). He will demand worship even as if he were God.

It will be an act of patient waiting on or trust in the Lord to stand for God during this time.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Revelation-Chapter-12/

Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Revelation-Chapter-14/

Those who are sealed will follow the Lamb wherever He goes. All the way to the cross. As He did, they will keep the commandments of God (will of God) and the faith of Jesus. As Christ trusted or had faith in God, they too will have His character which is His law written on their heart and mind.

Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads....

4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Revelation-Chapter-14/

Jesus said:

John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-6/

Psalms 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Psalms-Chapter-40/

Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Matthew-Chapter-26/

In the same way the Seal of God is a settling of the heart and mind to trust God, the mark of the beast is in direct opposition to the Seal of God. It is trust in our own works or that of man to save us. It makes void the law of God in our lives. It removes His daily provisional care for our temporal as well as spiritual needs.

This is exactly what the Leopard-like beast, Lamb-like beast attempt to do in the end of time when they encourage the whole world to worship the image of the beast.

Image worship according to the commandment of God is a likeness to that in heaven. It can look good. But it is man-made.

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Exodus-Chapter-20/

This image of the beast is to be worshipped “looking” like God Who is only to be worshipped.

Matthew 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Matthew-Chapter-4/

But God would have us serve or obey or worship Him out of love rather than out of fear or bribery. This distinguishes the true follower of God from those followers of the god of this world.

John 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-14/

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1-John-Chapter-4/

The Greek word “mark” from the Strong’s Concordance means to stamp or engrave.

χάραγμα cháragma, khar'-ag-mah; from the same as G5482; a scratch or etching, i.e. stamp (as a badge of servitude), or scupltured figure (statue):—graven, mark. https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=G5480&t=KJV

The commandment says:

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Exodus-Chapter-20/

The Devil somehow conveniently omitted the second commandment on graven image worship from Catholic scripture (Daniel 7:25) during those 1260 years of papal rule.

From the beginning, there has always been a serious warning against image worship or servitude.

Deuteronomy 4:23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.

24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

25 When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:

26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Deuteronomy-Chapter-4/

Look what Jesus says about being a “servant” to sin. The mark of the beast or image worship and servitude is also the character of the one who is in bondage rather than free. The mark of the beast is a mark of fear or obedience or worship out of force, or compulsion to sin against God, making it the mark of a slave.

John 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-8/

The mark of the beast is a mark of unbelief in God or belief in a lie.

Those who have the mark of the beast choose to believe the lie because they take pleasure in unrighteousness.

John 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.... 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/John-Chapter-8/

2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/2-Thessalonians-Chapter-2/

Daniel tells us that the day will come when Satan remove the Daily or Evening and Morning Provision of God and try to replace it with his own abominable substitute. Just like in the days of the Leopard-like beast or papal rule, and just like in the day of Christ when Christians and Christ were persecuted for their faith, we are promised persecution will happen at the close of time.

Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily (continual, evening and morning – see chapter 26A), and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Deuteronomy-Chapter-4/

Satan backed by the power of the papacy and apostate protestant church will tell us he is God. He will ask us to worship him by commanding us to obey his dictates. He will tell us he is Christ our Provider and Savior. But a careful inspection of his laws by comparing with scripture will show they do not agree with the Law of God but are man-made images of God’s law. If we believe him, his (Satan’s) law will be written on our mind and heart). If we fear him, we will be weak enough to betray our own brothers and sisters to death for fear for our own lives. Rather than provide for the just and the unjust as God does, Satan will forcefully take away even our physical bread as punishment for our loyalty to God and His word.

Matthew 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Matthew-Chapter-15/

Jesus and His Word is our Continual, Daily Provision! Give us this day our Daily Bread! Trust Him!

Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.

12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Job-Chapter-23/

CHAPTER SUMMARY

Jesus had a lot to say about the Evening and the Morning. When asked to defend His Messiahship with a sign from heaven, He referred them to the story of the Manna and called Himself the “true Bread from heaven”. This reference directly correlates with Daniel 8:26 which says “the vision of the Evening and the Morning which is told is true.” Manna each day (another term for evening and morning) without fail to feed Israel in their wilderness journeyings. In the same way Jesus is our Daily Bread and He is the way, the truth, and the life. The messages of His Word are truth.

Secondly, when again asked for a sign from heaven, Jesus again referred to the Evening and the Morning in the context of time. The time prophecy of Daniel 8:26 was fulfilled regarding the Evening and the Morning. He was the Appearance of the Mighty Warrior sent from Heaven, right on time as regards the seventy-week prophecy of Daniel 9. In asking a sign, they revealed that they did not discern the prophetic fulfilment.

Jesus carries this concept a step further when He says, Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.” John 6:27. He refers here to the Seal of God and being all about Himself, eating His flesh, and drinking His blood. This reminds us of the Passover. The blood of the Passover Lamb on the door of each home was the Seal of God. It represented their trust in the Provision of His blood and body for them. Since the death of Christ, we keep this service today as Communion. This is a symbol today of our trust in the Provision of the Lamb of God and His Word or promise to save us by His merits. This act of faith is the New Covenant Promise or Seal of God written on the door post of our minds and hearts.

The Sabbath is closely connected to the Evening and the Morning during creation week, the story of the manna and the story of the cross. In each case it was set aside as a Holy Day of Rest and as a Memorial to our Creator and our Redeemer and His provision for us. When we set aside our own labor or works on that day and keep His day holy, we demonstrate our trust or faith in Him as our Provider, Creator and Redeemer. In this way the Sabbath become the sign from Heaven or Seal of God upon us.

At the close of time, the Devil will attack those who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ. The Holy Sabbath is a part of both of these characteristics of God’s people. Those who choose to follow Christ, will esteem His Word more than their necessary food. They will not receive the Mark of the Beast which is in direct contrast to the Seal of God. They will place their trust in God’s Provision rather than the provision of the man of sin. Even though threatened with death, they will not believe the lies of Satan but will choose to worship God only.

Will you as Job, esteem His Word as more important than physical bread? Will you keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ? Or will you serve man-made tradition?
